EISLEY RELEASES ‘DEEP SPACE’ EP!

NEW ALBUM TRACK-BY-TRACK AVAILABLE NOW ON ALTPRESS.COM
Eisley’s new EP, Deep Space, is now available at indie record stores and online (iTunes, Amazon, MerchNOW). The five-track EP was recorded and self-produced in Eisley’s hometown of Tyler, TX with engineer/mixer Andy Freeman.
Today, the band also revealed a track-by-track description of Deep Space on AltPress.com, where singers/songwriters Sherri DuPree-Bemis and Stacy DuPree-King offer insight behind the writing process and inspiration for each song on the EP.
Eisley also currently has a special Valentine’s Day collaboration running with labelmate Say Anything, with each band offering a new song that can be streamed and shared with loved ones. Say Anything, which is fronted by Max Bemis - husband to Eisley’s Sherri DuPree-Bemis, will release a new album of their own, Anarchy, My Dear, on March 13.
Eisley will venture out on a US tour in support of the Deep Space EP this March, with Christie DuPree and Tampa, FL-based band TALLHART (formerly known as Marksmen) as the opening acts.
The surreal trance of Deep Space follows The Valley, Eisley’s incredibly candid and autobiographical full-length album, which was released in March 2011. The Valley debuted at No. 75 on the Billboard 200 Current Albums Chart, No. 5 on Amazon MP3’s Top 10 Album Chart, and No. 3 on its New Albums Chart. Eisley also recently released their new steampunk-inspired music video for “The Valley”, which was directed and animated by Cory Sheldon. The video can be viewed HERE. The Valley has been deemed “one of the best albums of 2011” by Amazon.com, Big Takeover, Alternative Press, and AbsolutePunk.net.
The new EP has already received similar widespread praise from the likes of Rock Sound Magazine, Music Connection Magazine, Alternative Press, AlterThePress.com, AbsolutePunk.net and more.

SAY ANYTHING ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINING TOUR
SECOND SINGLE “SAY ANYTHING” OUT FEBRUARY 14th
NEW ALBUM ANARCHY, MY DEAR OUT MARCH 13th
Say Anything have confirmed headlining tour dates for March and April 2012, when they will hit the road in support of their upcoming full-length album, Anarchy, My Dear (out March 13th on Equal Vision Records). The 31-date tour will kick off on March 24th at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom, and will then make its way around the country, culminating with a performance at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on May 3rd. An exclusive presale will begin on Wednesday, January 18th at 12PM EST. Fans who buy their tickets through the presale will receive their tickets before anyone else and will receive a discount on service charges. There will also be exclusive bundling packages available. Tickets can be purchased here: http://sayanything.ducatking.com.
Thanks to years of constant touring, Say Anything have perfected their powerful live performance and are excited to debut the new songs off of Anarchy, My Dear. Their passionate, engaging shows leave their cult-like audience enthralled, with fans screaming along to every word throughout their energetic sets.
The second single from Anarchy, My Dear, titled “Say Anything,” will be released on February 14th. The music video, directed by Mutemath’s Darren King, will be shot in Texas at the end of February, and will be released in March. The track can be previewed and purchased HERE.
Anarchy, My Dear, produced by Tim O’Heir (Say Anything, Sebadoh, Superdrag), is in its purest sense, a form of propaganda-an intense expression of frontman Max Bemis’ love for the idea of anarchy. Says Bemis, “Anarchy, My Dear is our first attempt to write a true ‘punk’ record; thematically speaking, it’s a collection of songs about subverting society and destroying the boundaries humankind has placed upon ourselves both physically and in our minds. Coincidentally, it also happens to be the first record we’ve made in years where we had total freedom to explore our ‘edgier’ side and present a raw picture of what the band is truly about onstage.”
Filled with thought-provoking, idiosyncratic lyrics, Anarchy marks a breakthrough in Say Anything’s genre-defying evolution. Hailed by Alternative Press as one of the most anticipated albums of 2012, the music has a newfound vintage, glam-rock feel, complete with an urgent punch of anthemic choruses and ferocious energy. SPIN Magazine declared that the first single, “Burn A Miracle,” is “one of the more schizophrenic and toothsome pop-punk outbursts frontman Max Bemis (or maybe anyone for that matter) has shared to date. It’s a beast. Have a listen.”

Say Anything has revealed that the title of the band’s forthcoming full-length album will be Anarchy, My Dear. The album was recorded with …Is A Real Boy producer Tim O’Heir [All-American Rejects, Say Anything] and is expected to be released in early 2012.
Say Anything frontman Max Bemis has also announced a winter solo headlining tour, where he will share the stage with his wife and Eisley vocalist/guitarist, Sherri DuPree-Bemis. They will each play separate acoustic sets, as well as performing select songs together.
In a recent in-studio interview with Alternative Press, Bemis discussed the musical progression of Say Anything on Anarchy, My Dear stating, “I feel like this one [is what would have happened] had we chosen to go in a different direction after …Is a Real Boy—it’s like a cousin of the other records as opposed to a brother or sister…it’s edgier and the influences are a little more diverse, and it makes us stand out a little bit more. That’s what I’m proudest about this record: There’s no way you can put it on and think of any other band besides ours.”
Bemis describes Anarchy, My Dear, in its purest sense, as a form of propaganda – an expression of how he feels and what he sees and believes in as a healthy level of anarchy. He expounds, “…the record is named after one of the songs on it called “Anarchy, My Dear,” which is basically my love song to anarchy. It’s sort of written as if it was to a woman, but it’s about my belief and my love for this idea of anarchy.”
Though still filled with raw emotions and the band’s signature brand of in-your-face honesty and unrivaled wit, Bemis explains that lyrically Anarchy, My Dear  differs from past releases, in that it is “…no longer about coming into my own; it’s more about what do I think of the world, what are the changes I’d like to see, what do I think of life, how do I experience life. So it is more raw in the sense that it has that early quality of rebellion.”

In addition to Bemis’ vocals, listeners will hear the ethereal guest vocals of DuPree-Bemis, as well as the vocal flourishes of drummer Coby Linder. In the interview, Bemis also reflects on Say Anything’s musical roots, going back to his and Linder’s teenage days.
“We’ve been a band for 10 or 11 years, and it really started out with me and Coby just kind of walking around and talking about music, and getting excited and being crazy together, and trying to push each other into new directions and challenge each other.” He continues, “That’s definitely a lot of what the musical dynamic on this record is; there’s a lot of little ear candy and yet at the same time it’s really loose and energetic.”

Say Anything has sold nearly half a million copies of their previous releases, performed on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, and has been praised by the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin, Alternative Press and more. Say Anything rose to prominence with their 2004 studio album debut …Is a Real Boy and went on to release the equally eclectic and energetic, In Defense of the Genre (2007) and their self-titled LP (2009). The interview with Alternative Press can be read in its entirety HERE and all upcoming solo dates can be seen below.

Say Anything has sold nearly half a million copies of their previous releases, performed on Late Night With Conan O’Brien, and has been praised by the likes of Rolling StoneSpinAlternative Press and more. Say Anything rose to prominence with their 2004 studio album debut …Is a Real Boy and went on to release the equally eclectic and energetic, In Defense of the Genre (2007) and their self-titled LP (2009). The interview with Alternative Press can be read in its entirety HERE and all upcoming solo dates can be seen below.

joelpilotte:

Last weekend I got the opportunity to tour with my friends in Texas In July. They are on a North American tour at the moment with August Burns Red and Set Your Goals. This was my first official tour and I was more than excited to hit the road and document their lives for everyone to see.

Day 1

The first date that I was on was in London, Ontario just outside of where I live. They have played London numerous times and the crowd here is always the best. They have told me a bunch of times that they can’t wait to hit London every chance they get. A good friend of ours Mitch Bright, lead singer of Die Atlantic!, came down to London for the show to hang out with the gang.

I also had brought some prints that I made of a promo picture I did for them a month or so ago. I only printed 25 and I sold them for $5. They only lasted one night and they were completely gone once the show was over. The next two photos are of Christian and Ben warming up before their set.

I was lucky enough to receive all access for the weekend. So I was aloud to go anywhere and everywhere, including the photo pit. I went inside the barricade for a few songs to get some live shots. After the show was over, we drove to Kitchener to stay there for the night and then wake up early and hit the road for Ottawa.

Day 2

The drive to Ottawa from Kitchener was long but not too bad in a 15 passenger van. I even had my own bench seat for a bit of the ride which was convenient. I brought my laptop and everything I needed to edit on the road so I spent most of my time in the van editing photos from Friday. I did manage to grab a few shots of the guys when we stopped for gas and food.

When we got to the venue we unloaded all the gear and I went inside to check it out. I was stoked that I got to shoot from inside a barricade again. My best friend Colin goes to school in Ottawa and i’m glad he got to come and hang out at the show. I took some quick photos of the guys setting up their gear during sound check.

This show, like London, was completely sold out which was insane. After the show I helped them load out all the gear and then we got to hang out with August Burns Red for a bit in their bus.

Once we finished hanging out with the dudes in ABR, we went over to Gatineau, Quebec for the night.

Day 3

We hit the road for Sudbury, Ontario around 10am and we had about a 6 hour drive ahead of us. I spent most of the day filming some stuff and also just hung out with the guys because it was, unfortunately, my last day on the tour. I helped Sean sell some merch for a bit and also got him to stage dive during August Burns Red’s set wearing my GoPro HD helmet camera strapped on his head. The live shots that I took over the course of the weekend will be up on my flickr and also a few here on my blog.

I’m sad I had to go back home, I was having way to much fun hanging out with the guys. I hope this summer I will be able to get onto a full tour and document it front to back. I am fortunate enough to be friends with the guys in Texas In July and I personally want to thank them for this opportunity. I wish them the best of luck on the rest of the tour and also safe travels.

Please check out Texas In July’s new album titled One Reality being released on April 26th on Equal Vision Records, you will not be disapointed.

Thanks for reading!
