TEXAS IN JULY TO RELEASE FOURTH STUDIO ALBUM, ‘BLOODWORK,’ ON SEPT 16
July 22, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Pennsylvania metal band Texas In July has officially announced their highly anticipated new record, Bloodwork, which will be released on September 16th, via Equal Vision Records. The band recently debuted a new song called “Broken Soul” with RevolverMag.com, which is featured on their upcoming fourth studio album.

Stream Texas In July’s “Broken Soul” at http://youtu.be/WW9UMQEna8A.

Following the release of their 2012 self-titled record, Texas In July joined forces with their new vocalist JT Cavey, a longtime fan of the band with a massive YouTube following, and a reputation for vicious screams, a wide range of vocal tones and a seemingly unlimited amount of enthusiasm, passion and creativity.

Following several tours together under the new lineup,Texas In July entered the studio as a four-piece in January of 2014, in their hometown of Lancaster, PA with producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland. The resulting album is the band’s most impressive work to date, offering their most cohesive and innovative instrumentations and most dynamic vocal offerings – including a touch of clean vocals for the first time ever, in the seven year existence of the band. Additionally, Cavey displays a broad mix of screams, unique vocal patterns, and even an aggressive spoken word interlude. The new album also features a special guest spot from Miss May I vocalist Levi Benton on “The Void.”

“I think this album shows us at our most extremes,” says guitarist Chris Davis. “It has some of our heaviest and most aggressive moments to date and also our most melodic and mellow sections as well. It was all about pushing ourselves to extend our boundaries.”

Texas In July has toured nearly non-stop over the past four years including countless North American and UK/European runs, and ventures to China, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and more with bands like August Burns Red, Of Mice & Men, We Came As Romans, Silverstein, Unearth, letlive., Miss May I, The Devil Wears Prada, Every Time I Die. Their relentless tour schedule continues in 2014 with their current run with IWRESTLEDABEARONCE in Europe, which will be followed by a U.S. tour that will be announced soon.

I THE MIGHTY PREMIERES
"LOVE YOUR SIN" MUSIC VIDEO

NEW THREE-SONG
DIGITAL RELEASE OUT JULY 15

PERFORMING TWO SETS DAILY
ON VANS WARPED TOUR

Image description

JUL 11 - Today, San Francisco’s I the Mighty is premiering their music video for “Love Your Sin” – a new song that will appear on a new three-song digital release, which will be out on Tuesday, July 15. The video can be seen now at Youtube.com/equalvision.

In addition to “Love Your Sin”, the digital release will include two new studio recordings of full-band acoustic renditions of “The Dreamer” and “Speak To Me”, which originally appeared on the band’s Karma Never Sleeps EP and recent debut full-length album, Satori, respectively. The new release was produced by Erik Ron ( Panic! at the Disco, Foxy Shazam, I the Mighty).

I the Mighty will join the 2014 Vans Warped Tour tomorrow in Wantagh, NY and will perform twice daily for the remainder of the tour, with a full set on the Hard Rock Kevin Says Stage and a stripped down full-band acoustic set on the Acoustic Basement Stage.

“‘Love Your Sin’ is about being in an ill-defined relationship that you know you should remove yourself from, but not being able to do so easily,” shares vocalist Brent Walsh. “It’s about making that tough call to end something that’s not necessarily a bad relationship, but not necessarily everything you want from one. More specifically, how the factor of amazing sex or sexual attraction can complicate the situation.”

I the Mighty has just recently wrapped up tour dates with the diverse likes of Say AnythingEisleyCoheed & Cambria, letlive., and Balance & Composure.
