TEXAS IN JULY TO SUPPORT OF MICE & MEN ON 2013 FULL US TOUR

Texas In July has announced their first tour of 2013 - a full US run supporting Of Mice & Men presented by Tilly’s, with additional support from Woe Is Me, Volumes and Capture The Crown.

Texas In July is currently touring in support of their explosive new self-titled album, which was recorded with Will Putney [For Today, Chiodos, Life Moths To Flames], and released on October 9 to rave reviews from fans and press around the world.

With the new album, Big Cheese Magazine has identified Texas In July as “true champions of the scene” who are “taking the genre back to its roots” and presenting “metalcore at its finest.” Kerrang! too boasts of the album’s impressive quality stating, “It’s crisp, accomplished and heartfelt,” while online music source AbsolutePunk notes, ”The guitar work throughout the album from Christian Royer and Chris Davis is inspired…Texas In July is an eleven track showcase of the band meeting and exceeding its potential, as the band improved significantly in areas from technical prowess to song composition.” Additionally, Rock Sound Magazine’s review highlights the band’s diversity, potential and skill penning, “…from the post-rock instrumental ‘Repressed Memories’, to the pummeling deathcore blast beats on ‘Black Magic’, to the samba sounds that punctuate ‘Cloudy Minds’ (featuring August Burns Red’s Matt Greiner) this is the work of a band successfully striving to make metalcore original and fresh.”

Texas In July has also maintained a nearly non-stop tour schedule over the past two years, including three UK/European runs, multiple Canadian tours, crisscrossing the US countless times with the likes of We Came As Romans, August Burns Red, Silverstein, Norma Jean and more, and recent ventures to China, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan for headline tours. The band has most recently wrapped up The Unshakeable Tour with For Today, Impending Doom, Sleeping Giant, The Chariot and Hundredth and will next venture overseas one last time before the year ends, for a UK/European tour supporting Miss May I. All upcoming Texas In July tour dates can all be seen below.

In case you haven’t heard yet, Glass Cloud had a terrible van accident this weekend while on the AP Tour. Most importantly - we are so incredibly thankful that all of the band and crew are free of any major injuries, only facing some minor bumps and bruises. Their van and trailer weren’t so fortunate (as you can see in the photos below and in the video above) but the band is determined to continue on the tour. Complete troopers. The band unfortunately had to cancel their performance last night in Salt Lake City and tonight in Denver - but are doing their best to make it out to the show in St Paul, MN on Thursday, November 15. Des Moines, IA at Wooly’s on Wednesday, November 14 (w/ The Ghost Inside, Glass Cloud, Dividing the Masses, Buster Casey, For the Empire, and Crusader). [2:22pm ET; EDIT: Good news, Glass Cloud has been added to a one-off show  tomorrow with The Ghost Inside!]

Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out to check on the band, sent well wishes, and/or who has donated to helping the band get back on their feet (and the road).

For anyone who will be attending the AP Tour tonight in Denver, the band WILL have merch available at the show. Picking up a shirt, CD, or making a donation is more than appreciated if you can help them out.  A message direct from the band detailing their situation can be seen below:

This Is A Message To The Royal Thousand:

To say we’ve had a rough couple of days would be a massive understatement. Yesterday morning (11-11-12) at 7am, your boys in Glass Cloud took a heavy blow. While driving through Deadman’s Pass on the Oregon Trail, we started to drift on a patch of ice and lost traction while trying to regain control. Our van completely turned around 180 degrees and as we were drifting backward, our wheel clipped a rock and flipped our van and trailer onto the drivers side.

The crash shattered all the windows on that side leaving us all laying in broken glass. It also partially caved in the roof, shattered the windshield, and caved in the entire sheet metal siding on the drivers side. Our trailer has a twisted frame and tongue, bent up wheels, the back gate is pinched shut, the roof is pushed out and everything BUT our equipment is pretty much unsalvageable (thank god for flight cases on our instruments).

Our drummer, Chad, was driving with our tour manager Eric in the passenger seat and Myself (Travis), Josh, Jerry and our merch girl Jess in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th row respectively. When we gained our bearings and realized that we were all still able to move, we helped each other climb out through the front windshield and into the snowy Oregon moutainside. We gathered what little of our belongings we could from the wreckage and got a ride from a tow truck to the town of Pendleton located 20 miles from the crash.

As of now, I am writing this from my phone in an Econolodge trying to figure out what we need to do to get back on the road, meet up with our good friends on the AP tour, and continue playing our music across the country for the last two weeks of shows.

In this video and here in the description you can find out exactly how to help us in this time and get us back on the road to finish this tour and make it home safely. When we get home, the real troubles will begin with finding transportation for our gear and a replacement for our van and trailer. We appreciate any help we can get from anybody during this hellacious time we are going trough and we hope everyone else stays safe and careful during these winter months.

All The Love,
-GC

TEXAS IN JULY PARTNERS WITH REVOLVER MAGAZINEFOR STREAMING PREMIERE OF NEW SELF-TITLED ALBUMTEXAS IN JULY AVAILABLE IN STORES AND ONLINE OCTOBER 9

Ephrata, PA’s Texas In July has partnered with Revolver Magazine for the advance streaming debut of the band’s new full-length album, which officially comes out next Tuesday.
The self-titled album can be streamed in its entirety at RevolverMag.com and will be available in stores and online on October 9 via Equal Vision Records. Pre-orders are available through MerchNOW HERE and feature a wide variety of bundle options and exclusive items such as handwritten lyrics, signed CDs, lithograph posters, dog tags, t-shirts, hoodies, and more. All pre-order bundles also include an immediate download of the band’s single “Cry Wolf”.
“The entire time that we were writing and recording the album, we intended on giving it a title. But as time went on and the album progressed, and the more we began to hear that we were bringing the old Texas In July sound back, with the twist of adding in our new experimental and melodic elements, the more that faded,” the band reveals of their decision to self-title the album. “We are so proud of this record and couldn’t throw any title on it, just for the sake of it having a title. When I jam this record, I hear Texas In July.”
The explosive new album was recorded with Will Putney [For Today, Chiodos, Life Moths To Flames] at the Machine Shop Studios in Belleville, NJ. Frontman Alex Good, the band’s youngest member at just 20 years old, leads the pack, offering his most diverse and in-your-face vocal delivery to date on Texas In July. He’s impeccably backed by the band’s balanced blend of crushing breakdowns, ongoing onslaught of fast-paced, unforgettable riffs from duel guitarists Christian Royer and Chris Davis, driving bass grooves of Witkowski, and of course -the always admirable technical prowess of drummer Adam Gray.
Texas In July is the follow up to the metal quintet’s sophomore full-length album and Equal Vision Records debut, One Reality, which was released on April 26th, 2011. The album premiered at No. 3 on the Billboard New Artist/Heatseekers Chart and also placed on the Billboard 200, Rock, Independent, and Hard Rock charts. The album was recorded in Hadley, MA with producer Zeuss [Hatebreed, Shadows Fall].
In less than two years time, the band has already headlined three UK/European runs, toured Canada multiple times, crisscrossed the US countless times and even ventured to China, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, and (soon) Japan to headline shows. US tour highlights include the Motel 6 Rock Yourself To Sleep and I’m Alive tours – both with We Came As Romans, the 2011 Take Action Tour with Bayside and Silverstein, and the 2012 Leveler Tour with August Burns Red. Texas In July also recently completed their first major US headlining tour with support from Like Moths To Flames, The Air I Breathe, Hundredth and For All I Am. The band has also played at renowned music festivals around the world such as New England Metal and Hardcore Fest, Graspop Metal Meeting, Summerfest, Cornerstone Festival and The Bamboozle.
Texas In July will remain on the road through the end of the year, heading to Japan this week for Unionway Fest 2012, immediately followed by a full US tour with For Today this fall and a UK/European tour with Miss May I this winter. TEXAS IN JULY PARTNERS WITH
REVOLVER MAGAZINE
FOR STREAMING PREMIERE OF
NEW SELF-TITLED ALBUM

TEXAS IN JULY AVAILABLE
IN STORES AND ONLINE OCTOBER 9
