Say Anything has released the first single from the highly anticipated upcoming album, “Hebrews” to be released on June 10th via Equal Vision Records. Fans can stream “Six Six Six” and read an in-depth interview regarding the album with front-man Max Bemis exclusively with Billboard now: http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6069749/say-anything-six-six-six-song-premiere-max-bemis-talks-ambitious-new-hebrews

“Six Six Six,” features additional vocals from Eisley’s Sherri Dupree-Bemis, Balance & Composure singer Jon Simmons and Andy Hull of Manchester Orchestra. Backed by a beautiful string section, the song’s lyrics discuss the devil existing in everyone. Religious identity is a theme that blankets the entire album. “A big part of the journey was also understanding my lineage and my culture,” Max explains. “That’s why the record’s called Hebrews. Whether you’re Jewish, Catholic or whatever, you come from a [larger] culture. It’s not a record about being Jewish; it’s about understanding where my neuroses come from. Is it from society, my parents or from the dawn of man?”

“Hebrews” also features 16 guest vocalists, which include Chris Conley (Saves The Day), Matt Pryor (The Get Up Kids), Chauntelle DuPree-D’Agostino (Eisley), Keith Buckley (Every Time I Die), Brian Sella (The Front Bottoms), Aaron Weiss (mewithoutYou), Stacy King (Eisley), Bob Nanna (Braid), Gareth and Kim Campesinos (Los Campesinos), Christie DuPree (Merriment), Jeremy Bolm (Touché Amoré), Tom DeLonge (blink-182) and the aforementioned Andy Hull,  Jon Simmons and Sherri DuPree-Bemis. The collection of 12 songs trade traditional rock-band instrumentation for more refined string arrangements.

“Hebrews” Track Listing:

1. “John McClane” featuring Chris Conley and Matt Pryor
2. “Six Six Six” featuring Sherri DuPree-Bemis, Andy Hull and Jon Simmons
3. “Judas Decapitation” featuring Gareth and Kim Campesinos
4. “Kall Me Kubrick” featuring Chauntelle DuPree-D’Agostino

MERRIMENT TO RELEASEDEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM‘SWAY’ ON APRIL 8

TOUR WITH EISLEY KICKS OFF APRIL 1

MAR 03 – Merriment will release their debut full-length album, Sway, on April 8 – while the band is on tour with Eisley. Tickets for the tour are on sale now HERE. All upcoming tour dates can be found below.

Sway was recorded in the band’s hometown of Tyler, TX, with Charlie Brand of Miniature Tigers serving as producer. The album will be released on Rory Records – Max Bemis of Say Anything’s imprint within Equal Vision Records.
The stunning new album features twelve tracks filled with lush harmonies, all serenely delivered through the sweet, angelic vocals of Christie DuPree. On Sway, Merriment flawlessly pairs hypnotic indie pop melodies with the warmth of folk-tinged Americana elements to create a bright yet delicate and graceful blend that is all their own.
This past November, Merriment released two tracks from the album, “Backwards” and “Nothing To Lose”, as a digital single - just prior to their two-part full US tour with Max Bemis (of Say Anything), Matt Pryor, Perma, Sherri DuPree-Bemis of Eisley, and Allison Weiss.
Upon the release of “Backwards”, American Songwriter declared the “harmony-rich, surging acoustic folk song” as “one of our favorite songs this year.” Alternative Press, too, has shown early support of Merriment, featuring them as one of the “100 Bands You Need To Know in 2014” in the current issue of the magazine, which is now available in stores and online HERE.
A tour sampler featuring one song each from Sway and Merriment’s self-released, debut EP Through The Rough (2012), as well as four live acoustic tracks from Eisley, can be downloaded now via Bandcamp.
Preorders for Sway will launch in the coming weeks through MerchNOW.
