I the Mighty will release their debut album on Equal Vision Records, Karma Never Sleeps, on March 27th.
The San Francisco, CA-based band has also revealed the cover art, tracklisting, and a teaser video for the EP, which can be seen HERE.
Karma Never Sleeps envelops listeners into a dramatic, dreamlike state, with intricate tales of political corruption, desperation and despair, and even words of cautionary counseling for the young and reckless. The EP features six sweeping tracks filled with soaring vocals, catchy hooks, charging guitars and explosive instrumentations, lyrically infused with powerful, poignant storylines.
I the Mighty vocalist Brent Walsh speaks of the band’s politically-charged lead single “Cutting Room Floor” explaining, “I go through phases where I follow politics closely, only to find myself backing away from it completely because it brings little more than frustration and a greater lack of confidence in humanity. The song describes Karma catching up to somebody who has let the persuasive hand of greed be the guiding light by which they live their life.” He concludes, “We don’t want people to just listen to our music on a surface level. We want people to dive into the songs and dissect them and to really feel them.”
The single is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and other online retailers. Pre-orders for the full album, which was produced by Erik Ron [Panic! At The Disco, VersaEmerge, Foxy Shazam], will launch on February 3rd on equalvision.merchnow.com.
I the Mighty has just wrapped up a tour with A Lot Like Birds and Just Like Vinyl (ex-The Fall of Troy) and will next head out with The Mid-Summer Classic, Divided By Friday and Victorian Halls. In March, the band will once again hit the road, with A Lot Like Birds and From Indian Lakes, en route to Texas for SXSW. All upcoming tour dates, as well as the Karma Never Sleeps tracklisting, can be seen below.

THIS TIME NEXT YEAR’S SOPHOMORE FULL-LENGTH ALBUM ’DROP OUT OF LIFE’ NOW AVAILABLE IN STORES AND ONLINE
This Time Next Year’s sophomore full-length album, Drop Out Of Life, is now available in stores (Hot Topic, FYE and local indie stores) and online (iTunes, Amazon, MerchNOW and more).
On October 6th, This Time Next Year will hit the road in support of Drop Out Of Life, on the Pop Punk’s Not Dead tour with New Found Glory, Set Your Goals, The Wonder Years and Man Overboard.
Drop Out Of Life was produced by New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert [A Day To Remember, H20, Fireworks], engineered by Paul Miner [New Found Glory, A.F.I., Atreyu], and mixed by Paul Leavitt[Circa Survive, All Time Low, Darkest Hour].
The impressive album features quick, crunchy guitars, energetic gang vocals and infectious melodies that are sure to be the soundtrack to the fall season. This Time Next Year pulls listeners into a state of pop-punk nostalgia while simultaneously offering a fresh, edgy sound and a sense that this is the beginning of something incredible for the Walnut Creek, CA-based band.
This Time Next Year’s new album also carries a powerful message, encouraging listeners to follow dreams and to never settle. Vocalist Pete Dowdalls explains, “If you hate something, why keep doing it? We’re not telling people to give up; we’re telling them to drop out. Life can be really tough but it’s up to you to make it better. Be positive, always look forward, and do what you want…I want people to vicariously live through the heartaches and triumphs I’ve experienced over the years. Drop Out Of Life is as much about the people who always supported us as it is about our personal struggles.”
He concludes, “This record is dedicated not only to our family, friends and fans, but to anyone out there who has felt defeated, broken or helpless in life. Stay positive, keep your friends close and do whatever it is you want to do in life. Forget acceptance, forget normality, drop out of life.” A track-by-track description of Drop Out Of Life, detailing the meaning behind each song, written by Dowdalls, is now featured on AltPress.com.
This Time Next Year is comprised of Dowdalls [vocals], Brad Wiseman [guitar], Denis Cohen [guitar], Travis Pacheco [bass], and James Jalili [drums]. All upcoming tour dates for This Time Next Year can be seen below. Pre-sale tickets for the Pop Punk’s Not Dead Tour can be ordered HERE.

thistimenextyearca:

Last night, in our hometown of Walnut Creek, CA our entire trailer (with all of our gear inside) was stolen. Below is a list of the missing gear– if you have any ideas as to where the trailer might be or see any gear being sold on eBay, Craigslist, etc., PLEASE contact us immediately. Any sort of lead helps, so please do not hesitate.

We’ve set up a PayPal account to thistimenextyearmusic@gmail.com for anyone who is willing and able to donate to help us out during these tough times. Any tips or leads can be sent to the above address or to the Walnut Creek Police who can be reached at 925.943.5844

If you want to help out but prefer not to donate, please just help us spread the word by reposting, retweeting, and/or reblogging the info, while keeping an eye out for our gear online and in/near/around the Bay Area. We appreciate anything and everything that you can do to get this info out there to as many people as possible.
