MERRIMENT PREMIERES"TREMENDOUS LOVE" MUSIC VIDEOON ALTPRESS.COM

Tyler, TX-based indie-pop outfit Merriment is premiering their dreamy new music video for “Tremendous Love”. The gorgeous video was directed by Mutemath’s Darren King and can be seen now on AltPress.com or at Youtube.com/equalvision.
"This song is about stubbornness and pride and not being able to admit that you’re sorry or that you’ve screwed up," reveals vocalist Christie DuPree. "I wanted this video to convey a simple honesty between two people and give you a glimpse into their story without conveying too much. We had so much fun shooting this and going over dance moves and (me) messing them up a bunch before getting it right!"

The band also recently released a video for “Now I’m Silver” featuring never-before-seen footage of the band recording their recently released debut album, Sway. The video can be seen at Merriment.merchnow.com, where the band’s new vinyl for Sway is also now available. This is the first pressing of Sway and is limited to 500 on black vinyl. Sway was recorded in the band’s hometown, with Charlie Brand of Miniature Tigers serving as producer.

The stunning album features twelve tracks filled with lush harmonies, all serenely delivered through the sweet, angelic vocals of DuPree. Merriment flawlessly pairs hypnotic indie pop melodies with the warmth of folk-tinged Americana elements to create a bright yet delicate and graceful blend that is all their own.

Better Off Premiere New Single “Meth Head” on Diffuser 7” Vinyl / Digital Single Out October 27, 2014 via Equal Vision Records Better Off to Appear w/ New Found Glory, We Are The In Crowd, Fireworks, Real Friends + more on Fall Tour Dates

Better Off premiered the A-side “Meth Head” of their new 7” single on Diffuser.fm today. The “Meth Head” 7” comes out October 27, 2014 and is the band’s first release on their new label, Equal Vision Records.  The Arun Bali (Saves the Day) produced 7” features “Meth Head” as well as the B-side “I Was Better 10 Years Ago”.

Listen to “Meth Head”
Diffuser has also launched a contest to win a copy of the new 7”, details on how to enter can be found at the track premiere. “‘Meth Head’ is about self-destructive behavior,” singer/guitarist Luke Granered tells Diffuser. “At the time we wrote this, I had been watching ‘Breaking Bad’ and was obsessed with Walter White’s character. He is the definition of destructive behavior.” “Meth Head” follows the release of Better Off’s 2013 debut LP (I Think) I’m Leaving, the album’s stirring, well-crafted songs caught the attention of fans and critics alike, and felt remarkably mature for a young band. Better Off have also secured a coveted spot on the fall Glamour Kills tour alongside New Found Glory, We Are The In Crowd and Fireworks, as well as dates with Real Friends and more (all tour dates below). The members of Better Off are no stranger to the Nashville alternative rock scene, having played in various other projects in the area in recent years.  Comparisons to the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, and Knapsack seem fitting, yet Better Off provide enough of their own take on the sound to create something unique. 700 clear purple, and 300 clear orange copies of the “Meth Head” 7” will be available, with preorder expected to launch in the coming weeks. SET IT OFF PARTNERS WITHFUSE FOR WORLD PREMIERE OF"WHY WORRY" MUSIC VIDEO

NEW ALBUM ‘DUALITY’ OUT TODAY
FALL TOUR WITH BLACK VEIL BRIDESKICKS OFF OCTOBER 21

Tampa, FL-based pop outfit Set It Off is premiering their new music video for lead single “Why Worry” today via FUSE! The video was filmed in New York City with director Rob Soucy (Azealia Banks, Alkaline Trio) and can be seen HERE.

Set It Off's new high-energy sophomore full-length, Duality, is also out today and available digitally through iTunes, AmazonMP3, Google Play and more and at physical retailers such as Best Buy, FYE, Newbury Comics, MerchNOW and more.

"We actually started creating the concept for the "Why Worry" video while we were still in the studio," reveals vocalist Cody Carson. "This song very much embodies duality in the actual characteristics of the music itself, and knowing that this was going to be the first single and that the album is called Duality, we wanted to really drive that point home. So that explains the “Good Cody” and “Bad Cody”, the light side of the crowd and the dark side of the crowd, as well as the contrasting moods in the verses and choruses. Also, pay attention to the hand motions in the chorus on the words ‘why, why worry at all’ (we made our own NSYNC-esque choreographed move) and also the hand symbol we create at the beginning and end of the video…I present to you the duality diamond hand symbol, when I throw it up it shows, I want to see you do it right back!”

Set It Off will head out on a mini tour of in-store events in Orlando, Alpharetta, Woodbridge and Long Island, just before the start of the Black Mass Tour where they will be performing alongside Black Veil Brides and Falling In Reverse. The massive full US tour will kick off on October 21 in Niagara Falls. All upcoming tour dates can be found below.
Early reviews from Big Cheese Magazine and Alternative Press rave on the band’s lead single “Why Worry” respectively noting that the song “will have Fall Out Boy quaking in their boots” and that it’s “one of the best pop songs you’ll hear all year.” Music Connection similarly boasts that Duality is “not only a shining moment in their career, but a shiny piece of pop perfection,” while Kerrang! awarded the album a perfect score of 5 out of 5 and declared that “Set It Off have created their own sub-genre in an oversubscribed pop-rock scene and absolutely nailed it.” Substream Music Press too vouches that it’s sure to please both “longtime fans of the band, as well as pull in an overwhelming flock of newcomers to boot,” as Rock Sound ensures: “Every song here is precisely constructed and delivered with nothing but the purest showmanship. A late contender for Album Of The Year? Absolutely.”

ISLES & GLACIERS PREMIERES"VIOLA LION" (dr00gs REMIX)ON ALTPRESS.COM'THE HEARTS OF LONELY PEOPLE (REMIXES)'OUT ON NOVEMBER 10 VIA EQUAL VISION
The song appears on The Hearts of Lonely People (Remixes) - a completely revamped version of their debut album, which will be released on vinyl, CD, and digitally on November 10.

Pre-orders for the new album are set to go live tomorrow, October 14, via MerchNOW.

The seven member super-group formed in 2008 and featured Vic and Mike Fuentes (Pierce The Veil), Craig Owens and Matt Goddard (Chiodos), Jonny Craig (Slaves, Emarosa, Dance Gavin Dance), Brian Southall (The Receiving End of Sirens), and Nick Martin (Sleeping With Sirens, Underminded).

While the constant touring demands of each individual members’ full-time bands prevented the outfit from ever recording a new album or touring, Isles & Glaciers is now able to offer fans a new take on the original release through seven unique versions of the songs from The Hearts of Lonely People.

'THE HEARTS OF LONELY PEOPLE (REMIXES)'
OUT ON NOVEMBER 10 VIA EQUAL VISION
